Our first stop was the gulf coast, where we dipped our toes in the water and played in the sand. The gulf coast isn't as pretty, but it's also not as rough. Especially for little ones that get knocked around easily by waves...:)
Then we headed over to see the USS Alambama.
Check out the view from the top of the ship. It was just gorgeous.
Then we headed over to see the sub, the USS Drum.

After the ships, we headed into New Orleans to visit with hubby's family. Here we are at lunch in the French Quarter. The kids love Bubba Gumps. I think it's because of the movie..:)
I just love the Quarter. The crowded streets, the carriages...
the cool buildings and balconies. And of course, you can't go to the Quarter without a stop at Cafe Du Monde.
After the Quarter, we spent a day with family at the crawfish boil. Just check out all those crawfish...:) That was just the first batch...lol.
We had a great time and I really enjoyed seeing everyone. I can't wait to do it all again next year...:)
